Product Overview
Extrusion granulation is a relatively new dry granulation process for producing compound fertilizers. Extrusion granulation was first used to granulate potassium chloride in the fertilizer field. The granular (1-4mm) potassium chloride required for blending fertilizer (BB fertilizer) is basically produced by the extrusion method. In recent years, the use of extrusion granulation to produce compound fertilizers has achieved rapid development in the country.
There are two types of extrusion granulation: the roller type and the roller type. The roller type extrusion is first pressed into large pieces and then broken into particles. In this way, the device has large capacity, high particle strength, and low energy consumption. Roller extrusion is widely used abroad. The roller type is to directly form a grooved shape on the surface of the roller, and extrude it into molded particles at one time. Products with low strength sometimes require the addition of binders. Suitable for granular fertilizers such as organic fertilizers and compound fertilizers.
Working Principle
The process principle of roller extrusion granulation is: dry materials are agglomerated into dense and hard large pieces (cake material) under pressure, which is called the extrusion process; the cake material is then crushed and screened to become granular materials. for the granulation process. The function of extrusion is to squeeze out the air between particles, and to make the distance between particles close enough to generate attractive forces such as van der Waals force, adsorption force, crystal bridges and embedded connections. The strength of extrusion granulated particles mainly depends on the force between molecules.
