Project Overview:

Activated carbon, also known as activated carbon black. It is amorphous carbon in the form of black powder or granules. The main components of activated carbon include oxygen, hydrogen, and other elements in addition to carbon. Activated carbon is a porous carbon with low packing density and large specific surface area due to the irregular arrangement of microcrystalline carbon and the presence of pores between cross connections, which can cause carbon defects during activation. The main raw materials for activated carbon can be almost all organic materials rich in carbon, such as coal, wood, fruit shells, coconut shells, walnut shells, etc. These carbon containing materials are converted into activated carbon through pyrolysis at high temperature and certain pressure in an activation furnace.

Equipment features:

1. Activated carbon requires high temperature drying due to its small particles and easy floating. Jianda Drying Technology Department has independently developed an activated carbon belt drying equipment to address this technological gap, solving difficulties such as belt leakage and material floating.

2. The belt drying equipment designed and produced by our company adopts a design of 15 drying sections with downward circulation of air flow, and an additional cooling section at the end, making it easy to package the material at the discharge temperature.

3. We have independently developed a hydraulic cylinder driven rotary paving machine for automatic paving, ensuring even distribution of auxiliary materials.

4. Several sets of flipping devices are used inside the dryer to evenly distribute the heating surface of granular activated carbon. To prevent particle damage and mesh belt wear, the rake teeth of the flipping device are made of wear-resistant PTFE plastic.
